Honey bees communicate with each other through a special sequence of movements known as the "waggle dance." By moving in specific figure-eight patterns, a bee can tell her hive-mates the exact distance and direction of the best food sources.

They can recognize human faces
Even though their brains are about the size of a sesame seed, honey bees can piece together individual features (like eyes, a nose, and a mouth) to recognize and remember human faces, much like we do!
They have a serious work ethic
A single worker honey bee will produce only about 1/12th of a teaspoon of honey in her entire lifetime. It takes the combined effort of tens of thousands of bees flying thousands of miles to make a single pound of honey.
